The first start lists are out, so let's have a look who's competing and what they have been up to.
Women's Sprint
Well, that's going to be exciting. Everybody is here only the top French sprinter are missing. I expect a major battle for the win between Victoria Pendleton and world champion and 500m world record holder Simona Krupeckaite. Anna Meares is also back and could surprise everyone.
Germany sent Miriam Welte who has shown solid results throughout the summer and Dana Gloess who coming back from an injury. Dana is considered by some as the biggest talent among Germany's sprinters. 6x Junior World Champion Kristina won't be on the World Cup curcuit this season - she's recovering from an accident early this year - but she's back in training.
Australia also sends Kaarle McCulloch who had a strong first year elite season.
Kanis Willy (2nd at World's) and Yvonne Hijgenaar are lining up for the Netherlands and specifically in the team sprint, I see them heading for the podium.
China's sprinters, Keirin world champion Shuang Guo and Jinjie Gong, have also shown consistent top results last year and are good for top spots in the sprints and a podium in the team competition.
The field is completed by young talent from the UK and France and riders from around the world. Glad to see that Malaysia is adding Fatehah Mustapa to its highly successful men's sprint team.
Men's Keirin
The men's field is also very strong. Notable absentees are the Sprint world champion Gregory Bauge, 200m world record holder Kevin Sireau, and the US German 200m record holders, Jimmy Watkins and Mathias Stumpf.
Heat 1
Keirin world champion Max Levy and Australia's Jason Niblett appear to be the strongest ones in this heat.
Heat 2
Malaysia's Azizul Awang and Frenchmen Francois Pervis are the strong men in this field, but Czeck Denis Spicka showed excellent form just a week ago in Gent.
Heat 3
This is the killer heat with Jason Kenny and Chris Hoy.
Heat 4
Aussie Shane Perkins, Frenchmen Michael d'Almeida and Russia's Andrii Vynokurov are the fast men in the last heat
Men's Kilo
World champion Stefan Nimke is clearly the number 1 in this field with UK's David Daniell, Aussie Scott Sunderland and young Frenchmen Quentin Lafargue fighting for the podium.
