Georgia was a blast, I think I speak for all the T-Town guys in saying we had a great time racing at the Dick Lane Velodrome. Today was the Keirin presented by Ethic which was actually four keirin rounds and a final. It was set up in a round robin fashion so you got a chance to race each rider at least once. All things considered my heats were fairly easy compared to some of the others. I won two of my heats and got a second and a third in the others. This gave me enough points to be seeded in first going into the final. The final was awesome as it was five of the T-town boys and Geo from Cali. It started out fast with me taking the motor and Dave sitting in second. When the derny pulled off with one and a half to go Geo put in a big effort to get to the front and kept the speed up but died with one to go. This forced me to pass him going into turn one followed by the rest of the guys. Leaving turn two with 200m go I hit it and started the sprint. I held the lead through turn four and could feel Dave trying to go around the outside of me. Coming down the home stretch Dave and I were neck and neck in a drag race to the line. It turned out that he had just that little bit more then I did and got me at the line by like three inches. It was a great race none the less and a great trip. The only real disappointment was after the race we all went out to restaurant to get chicken and waffles but they stopped serving them at three and it was ten at night. We were all pretty bummed that they wouldn't make us chicken and waffles but it was still a great trip.
